Frequently Asked Questions

  • I offer both in-person sessions in Salisbury, NC and virtual therapy for clients located anywhere in North Carolina.

  • The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. We'll discuss your concerns, goals for therapy, relevant background information, and determine whether we're a good fit to work together.

  • Therapy looks different for everyone. Some clients come for short-term support around a specific concern, while others choose longer-term work to address deeper patterns and relationship dynamics. We’ll regularly check in about your goals and tailor the process to your needs.

  • I am in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield and Aetna for individual therapy services. If you plan to use insurance, I'm happy to verify your benefits before your first appointment so you have a better understanding of your expected costs.

Please note that insurance coverage varies by plan, and benefits such as deductibles, copays, and coinsurance are determined by your insurance company.

  • Maybe. Insurance companies generally do not cover couples therapy when the primary concern is relationship distress. Coverage may be available when treatment is related to a diagnosed mental health condition.

I'm happy to help review your benefits and discuss whether insurance or private pay would be the best fit for your situation.

Many couples choose private pay for greater flexibility and privacy.

  • I ask for at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours' notice will be charged the full session fee.
